SYMPOSIUM FEES
There is a symposium fee of $75 ($100 after February 10, 2007) for each scientific participant and $50 for each graduate student. The symposium fee must be pre-paid. Checks should be made payable in US dollars to “U.C. Regents” and must accompany the registration form.


PRE-DOCTORAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
If funding is secured, stipends will be awarded to graduate students at the Symposium. (Because of travel costs, preference will be given tu graduate students coming from outside of California). In the meantime all students are required to register and pay the $50 registration fee. To apply for a stipend, include with the registration form a letter requesting a stippend that contains a brief description of current research that is co-signed by the research director.


SYMPOSIUM DINNER BANQUET
There will be a banquet on Friday night. Please indicate intent to attend on the registration form. The banquet registration fee is $75. The banquet will be held at the International House, 2299 Piedmont Ave., Berkeley, CA 94720. Reception starting at 6:15 PM, followed by dinner from 7 PM to 9 PM.
 

DEADLINES

     Feburary 10  Abstracts of contributed papers for inclusion in the book of abstracts. 

     February 10  Early Symposium Registration Fee Deadline.

    February 28 Last day for Hotel Reservations at Hotel Durant and Shattuck Hotel.

     March 14    Last day for Hotel Reservations at The Faculty Club.

 

POSTER SESSION

There will be a poster session on Thursday evening, beginning at 8:00 p.m. The size of each poster will be 4’ x 4’. The author of each contributed paper (i.e. poster presentation) should submit in advance a one-page abstract, which will be bound into a book and distributed at the beginning of the symposium. The abstract should have the title of the paper at the top, followed by the authors’ names and affiliation, and the text and references in that order. All material must fit onto one page, in a space no larger than 16 cm wide by 24 cm high, with a left hand margin of 3.0 cm. The deadline for abstracts to be included in the book is February 10, 2007.  Please submit abstracts to lestersymposium@gmail.com or to:
